2001-2004 Duramax Edge EAS Shif-On-The-Fly (SOTF) Accessory (98655)

Description

Fits

 Year Make Model Engine
2001-2004 Chevrolet/GMC 2500/3500 6.6L LB7 Duramax

Edges' all-new EAS Shift-On-The-Fly (SOTF) allows you to change custom tunes* on the fly utilizing the Insight CS2, CTS2, or CTS3. The EAS SOTF part numbers cover the 2001-2004, 2006-2016 Duramax, 2010-2018 Cummins, and 2011-2019 Power Stroke. Now you can switch up your tunes right on the screen! Many companies use a voltage signal to change between their 5 tune levels when tuned with custom tuning software. Instead of drilling a hole in the dash, add the EAS SOTF accessory to an Insight monitor to control custom tunes* while driving.

COMPATIBILITY NOTE: This accessory is designed for use with custom tuning platforms such as EFI Live. Your specific tune file must be built for "Voltage-Based" switching (SOTF/DSP5). It will NOT work with "canned" tunes or tunes that are not specifically configured for a physical switch input at the ECM.

Part Number: 98655

Features
  • Change your tunes instantly via the Insight screen
  • Replaces the need for a physical DSP5 rotary switch
  • Compatible with EFI Live and other custom tuning (Verify SOTF-indexing with your tuner)
  • Clean setup, no drilling holes in your dashboard
  • Uses Edge’s Expandable Accessory System (EAS)
  • Emission Code 6

Here is how it works:

  1. The EAS Shift-on-the-fly accessory, connected to your Insight CTS3, will control your tune levels for vehicles that require a switch to adjust power levels.
  2. For the LB7 Duramax, this accessory involves pinning two wires into the factory ECM harness, exactly as you would with a standard DSP5 switch.
  3. Switching occurs by changing the voltage between 1v, 2v, 3v, 4v, and 5v. Most custom-tuned vehicles run within these parameters.
  4. Flash the tune into your vehicle that enables the SOTF/DSP5 functions, and enjoy changing your power levels right through the Insight!
Installation
Notes
  • The LB7 Duramax EAS accessory connects directly to the ECM harness pins to simulate the resistance levels required for tune switching. It only controls tuning levels that are calibrated to change via this 0-5V analog signal. If your current tune is a "single tune" rather than a DSP5/SOTF multi-tune, this accessory will not increase power levels.
  • Custom tunes created by 3rd-party tuners and/or 3rd-party custom-tuning software have no affiliation, approval, or endorsement from Powerteq. Powerteq is not liable in any way for tunes created by 3rd-party companies or 3rd-party tuning software.
