- 6.4L Powerstroke: A pyrometer is mandatory for all performance levels. High-flow stages (60% and 100% over) require dual high-pressure pumps and extensive custom tuning.

- 20% Over: Safe for stock trucks; great for towing and fuel economy.
- 30% Over: Custom tuning recommended; not recommended for frequent heavy towing.
