We engineered this L5P bypass kit to eliminate the most common failure point in the factory transmission cooling system. Our solution removes the faulty thermostat altogether and enables continuous flow through the auxiliary transmission cooler. This eliminates the risk of a thermostat failure while providing better cooling and transmission performance for L5P trucks consistently under load. By ensuring continuous fluid flow through the secondary heat exchanger, our kit prevents the catastrophic overheating and part degradation that occurs when the OEM unit fails to open.
