The ALPHA HD PRO S Air Spring Kit reduces truck sag, sway, and bottoming out. It includes durable stainless steel hardware, corrosion-resistant end caps, and 20 support wires for strength. The polyurethane internal bumper prevents damage and allows a comfortable ride even without air when not towing. Available with or without the in-bag bump stop for added flexibility.

Why did Pacbrake add a bump stop to their bags?

Peace of mind. Customers want a bump stop to prevent bottoming out from loss of air bag pressure, an extremely rare event that could damage the airbags or potentially the frame of the truck. Think of it as an "insurance policy" against bottoming out.

An additional benefit is that you can run these air bags at 0 psi when unloaded for superior ride comfort.

Are bump stops necessary?

No! For those that require max travel in their air bags, to raise and lower their rear end to pickup trailers or boats, or for those that take their trucks off-roading, air bags without bump stops are recommended. Consider the HP10216 ALPHA HD airbag.
