If you want to keep your LS or Duramax Engine on the road for the long haul without blowing head gaskets? These studs are designed for stock to moderately built Duramax or LS motors & have a higher strength rating so they won't stretch like OEM bolts. Studs have a higher clamping capacity (yes this can make them more difficult to remove) which gives them superior strength to withstand more stress, so if you want more performance upgrades, you better get some studs.
