Simply adjust your ball mount to the desired height by pulling a pin and moving the ball mount to the desired position. This ensures your trailers are being towed level, this is particularly important when towing trailers with torsion axels.

Notes

• Got a lift, no problem! Even if you have a lift kit, this hitch can still be of use! However, there are a few things to think about when towing with a lifted vehicle. 
• Long drop hitches (12″ or more) will put additional leverage on the vehicle receiver. Therefore, in some cases, receiver hitch manufacturers will reduce ratings by as much as 50%. 
• A long drop hitch will also typically create a lot more movement due to the added length and drop of the ball mount. Using the Stabilizer Kit (GH-0100) will tie the bottom of the GEN-Y adjustable drop hitch into the frame of the truck which will take the stress off of the receiver as well as keeping the bottom of the ball mount from moving, ensuring a safe towing experience.

Offset Drop Hitches

The offset drop hitches are even more versatile than the standard Gen-Y Hitch. The different offset drop hitches include the 6″ Offset Drop Hitch which raises the hitch 3″ and lowers it 6″ and the 12″ Offset Drop Hitch which raises it 3″ and lowers it 12″. Offset hitches allow for raised and lowered positions at the same time, giving more options for any dual-purpose jobs. For example, pulling a car dolly and attaching a bike rack or using tow bars and a luggage rack at the same time. This means a much easier and safer way of getting multiple applications connected to 2.5″ receivers.
