As 7.3L trucks age, oil pan leaks become increasingly common—and the most frequent culprit is the factory dipstick adapter. Traditionally, fixing this requires removing the engine and oil pan. The Driven Diesel Dipstick Adapter Repair Kit is the "once and for all" solution that can be installed in about an hour with the engine still in the truck.
This kit completely eliminates the problematic factory adapter, replacing it with a precision-machined billet aluminum piece that seals on the OUTSIDE of the oil pan using a double O-ring design. This patented design (US Patents: #9,285,259 & #9,671,272) is the original, permanent fix for this common failure.

- PERFORMANCE ENGINE BUILDS: This product may require modification to fit engines using HYPERMAX connecting rods or an AFTERMARKET Engine Girdle across the main caps. Clearances should be closely checked during installation.
- T444E CUSTOMERS: This adapter is compatible with most T444E applications. Note: Some heavy-duty applications (like school buses) with oversized starters may require a smaller starter for clearance.
- INTERNAL COMPONENTS: The factory internal adapter is dropped into the oil pan sump during installation. It is too large to enter the oil pickup and will remain safely at the bottom of the pan without interfering with engine internals.
- CALIFORNIA CUSTOMERS: This part is eligible for shipment to California.
